Women's Size Guide

Every number below is the jacket itself, measured flat on a table, not your body. The chest and waist figures cover half the jacket, so double them for the measurement all the way around. Each jacket is cut and sewn after you order, to the size on your order.

How to measure a jacket you already own

  • Chest, flat: zip the jacket, lay it flat, and measure straight across from armpit to armpit.
  • Shoulder: measure across the back, from one shoulder seam to the other.
  • Sleeve length: measure from the shoulder seam down to the end of the cuff.
  • Waist, flat: with the jacket zipped and flat, measure straight across at the narrowest point between the armpit and the hem.
  • Back length: measure from the base of the collar down to the hem.

If nothing on the chart fits, made to measure is free. The eight body measurements we need are on the product page, just above the Add to cart button. A jacket cut to your measurements cannot be returned unless it arrives damaged or faulty, so check each figure first.

Description

Marlow is a women's black leather aviator jacket in glossy lambskin, lined from collar to hem in faux shearling. The fine crinkled grain breaks the shine up differently on each panel, and the tan pile at the collar and hem gives it the look of an old flying jacket.

The spread collar can lie flat or stand up, and a leather throat strap with three eyelets buckles across to hold it shut. A two-way brass zip runs the full front, so you can open it from the hem when you sit. Two big snap-flap pockets also open at the side, so your hands go in without touching the snaps. It sits with our women's leather aviator jackets, next to the women's shearling leather jackets.

The leather

This is a real leather aviator jacket: genuine lambskin, which is lighter and softer than cowhide. A high-gloss finish shows creases more than matte leather does, so expect lines at the elbows and pocket flaps in the first few months. That is how glossy lambskin ages.

Fit and sizing

A regular fit that ends at the hip, the usual length for a women's aviator jacket. Your usual size leaves room for a knit underneath, and the cuff straps cinch over gloves. The size guide on this page lists chest and sleeve measurements. If you fall between sizes, send us your measurements at checkout and we will cut it to them at no extra cost.

Care

Wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth. If it gets wet, let it dry at room temperature, away from heaters. Fluff the faux shearling with your fingers when the pile flattens. Hang it on a padded hanger and have it cleaned only by a leather specialist.
