Who we are
The Leather Maker is a brand of Iri Textile Corporation, 28 McKinley Ave, Albertson, NY 11507. We sell leather jackets and coats for men and women, around a hundred products in all. There are no bags, wallets, totes, briefcases or backpacks in the range, and there never have been. We sell online only, so there is no store and no showroom to visit. Every jacket is made after the order is placed.

Jackets and coats in biker, cafe racer, bomber, aviator and flight cuts, including the B-3, A-2 and G-1 patterns, along with shearling, quilted, puffer, trench and cropped styles. The leathers in the range include sheepskin, lambskin, cowhide, goatskin suede and shearling. One piece is faux rather than real leather and says so in its name, the Vegan Leather Bubble Hem Bomber Jacket. There is also one leather belt, and it is the only thing we sell that is not a jacket or a coat.
How a jacket is made
Jackets are not held in stock. When an order comes in, that jacket is cut and stitched by hand to the size on the order, with YKK zippers. It takes 5 to 7 days to make and quality-check, then 6 to 7 days in transit, so most orders arrive within 11 to 14 days. Because each jacket is made after it is ordered, nothing here goes out of stock and nothing is ever restocked.
Made to measure
Made to measure is free. The measurement fields sit on the product page, above the Add to cart button: chest, natural waist, lower waist, hips, height, weight, shoulder and sleeves. If you would rather send them later, email them to info@theleathermaker.com after you order. Use it when the size chart does not match your own measurements. Made-to-measure and personalized orders cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Sizing
Every jacket comes in XS to 3XL. Every product page has a size guide, linked under Size and Fit, with one chart for men’s jackets and one for women’s. Check your own chest and shoulder measurements against it before you order. If they do not land on a size in the chart, order the jacket made to measure and send us your numbers instead.
Shipping
Shipping is free worldwide on every order, including all US states and territories. Orders go out with DHL, FedEx or SkyNet, and transit usually takes 6 to 7 days. Where a country charges import duty or local tax on an incoming package, that charge is paid by the customer. We do not collect sales tax.
Returns
Returns and refund requests are accepted within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one, and we will tell you how to send the jacket back. It has to be unworn, with the original tags attached, in its original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or defective. Refunds go back to the original payment method, and there is no restocking fee. Custom and made-to-measure jackets cannot be returned unless they are damaged or defective. Payment
We take card payments only, processed by Stripe. That covers Visa, Mastercard, American Express and debit cards.
