Men’s leather bomber jackets sit at the waist, with knit or shearling at the cuffs and hem and a zip up the front. The Air Force A-2 comes in cognac cowhide, with a shirt collar, epaulettes and two flap pockets. The Navy G-1 is dark brown leather with a brown mouton collar and embroidered patches on the front, sleeves and back. The B-3 pattern is sheepskin, black with a wide tan shearling collar. Each jacket is cut after the order lands.

The A-2 and the G-1 were military issue, cut short with a knit waistband so the jacket clears a seat and a harness, and the quickest way to tell them apart is the collar: a leather shirt collar on the A-2, mouton fur on the G-1. The A-2 also comes in black cowhide, with the zip hidden under a storm flap and snap-flap pockets. For a casual bomber with no service history, the Alden is hand-waxed lambskin with black rib knit at the collar, cuffs and hem, and six pockets in all, including a zipped one on the sleeve.
The shearling-lined flight jackets sit in this range too. The hooded B-3 bomber has a removable hood trimmed with fur, and the aviator bomber is outlined in orange-tan leather. The sheepskin flying jacket is lined in curly ginger shearling, and the WWII-style flying jacket shows mostly wool from the front.

Lambskin is soft from the start and lighter on the shoulders, which is why the Alden is comfortable from the first day. Sheepskin is a different proposition: the B-3 bomber is black sheepskin with a wide tan shearling collar, shearling at the cuffs and hem, and a leather belt that buckles at the waist.
