A women’s tailored leather jacket here is made after you order it, not pulled off a shelf, and if you send your measurements at checkout the pattern follows those. The shapes run from cropped and collarless through cafe racers, bikers with snap-down lapels and roomy oversized bombers, in black, burgundy, red, cognac and off-white, in lambskin, sheepskin, smooth leather and vegan leather. Sizes run XS to 3XL, and when none of those matches you, a women’s custom leather jacket is cut to your own numbers for nothing extra.
The shapes
A biker puts the zip off center and usually has lapels that snap flat, like the burgundy one with a buckled hem belt. Cafe racers drop the lapels for a stand or funnel collar, with the zip running straight up the front or tucked under a flap, like a black one with ribbed shoulder padding. Cropped shapes stop at the waist and sit over high-waisted pants; a boxy black one with wide notched lapels is the loose cut. At the quiet end, a collarless jacket with a round neck and an edge-to-edge front goes over a dress.
The leathers
Lambskin is the softest and lightest, so a fitted leather jacket in it feels broken in on day one. Sheepskin is firmer, with a closer grain and a low shine, and cut light it wears soft from the start. Pale and mid-brown skins mark sooner than black, so keep a soft brush for the off-white one with zipped chest pockets or a cropped jacket in milk-chocolate lambskin. A vegan bomber with a gathered bubble hem sits here too, and a white and blue faux leather racing jacket.
Fit and sizing
On a fitted shape, fit the shoulders first: the seam should land on the edge of your shoulder. Boxy and raglan cuts are meant to sit wider there, so go by chest and back length. Sizes run XS to 3XL with a size guide on every page, and between sizes go up if you layer knits. Made to measure is free on every jacket here: send the eight measurements at checkout, chest, natural waist, lower waist, hips, height, weight, shoulder and sleeves, and the jacket is cut to them.
Made to order
Nothing is cut until your order arrives. Then five to seven days of hand cutting, stitching and checking, with YKK zips wherever there is a zip. Delivery takes another six to seven days, depending on where you are and on customs. Shipping is free worldwide. Returns stay open for 30 days on a standard size, and you pay the return postage unless it arrived damaged. One sewn to your measurements comes back only if it arrives damaged.
