Men’s shearling jackets here are cut from sheepskin, lambskin and plain leather. Some are full sheepskin with the wool on the inside; others are a leather shell with shearling at the collar, cuffs and hem. Flight patterns run through the collection: B3 bombers, aviators with buckled throat straps, and shearling bombers with knit cuffs and a straighter body. Colors run from black and burgundy through the distressed browns. On the full sheepskin ones the wool runs through the body, and that is what does the insulating. B3, aviator and bomber
B3s are sheepskin, with the wool on the inside. The B3 in dark brown sheepskin has honey-colored shearling, collar straps, two buckle straps on each sleeve and a belt around the hem. Some aviators go the other way, a leather shell with the shearling sewn in as a lining: the dark brown lined aviator has a full shearling lining, a cream shearling collar that buckles at the neck and zipped cuffs. A men’s shearling bomber jacket is closer to ordinary clothes, and the black Jack B3 has knit cuffs and a knit waistband under a tan shearling collar.
Sheepskin, lambskin and leather
On full sheepskin the leather and the wool are one skin, so the wool runs right through the body. The WWII flying jacket is drum-dyed lambskin lined with thick ginger wool. The Vail is brushed chestnut lambskin with a tall shearling collar and black leather trim. Shearling set only at the collar, cuffs and hem reads plainer, as on the black leather aviator trimmed in bright white. Distressed brown arrives already worn back, on the RAF aviator with its tan leather seam taping.
Fit and your own measurements
Wool takes up room inside, so buy for the shoulders and leave space for a sweater under the lining. Where the shearling turns back at the cuff it sits over the wrist, so check sleeve length with that in mind. Sizes run XS to 3XL with chest and sleeve figures in the size guide, and made to measure is free: send your numbers at checkout and the jacket is cut to them.

Nothing is cut before the order comes in. Then five to seven days of hand cutting, stitching and checking, with YKK zips wherever there is a zip, and free worldwide shipping. A standard size can go back within 30 days, return postage yours; a jacket cut to your own measurements is not returnable for fit.
