Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Keep the ivory shearling clean by brushing it gently and dabbing marks with a damp cloth straight away, before they set. Wipe the leather with a damp cloth, let it dry away from heat and condition it once a year. Don't machine wash it.
Size & Fit
Oversized by design. Take your usual size for the draped fit in the photos, with room for a flannel shirt or a chunky knit underneath. If you'd like it closer to the body, go down one size. Cut with dropped shoulders and full sleeves, this oversized black aviator hangs loose rather than hugging the body. It’s a women’s shearling lined leather jacket in the full sense: ivory shearling lines the inside and folds out into wide lapels, which you can leave open or close across the neck with the leather strap and buckle at the collar.
Under the lapels, a black rib-knit panel runs down the inside front to keep the wind off your chest when you wear the jacket open. There are two large flap pockets, zips at the cuffs and a buckle strap on each side of the back hem. The shearling shows again at the cuffs and all the way around the hem. The leather
Smooth black leather with a soft shine and some grain on the sleeves that shows more as it creases. Because the cut is loose, the jacket needs very little breaking in, and the leather softens further over the first winter. The ivory wool does the warming, so there’s no padding anywhere: a leather and shearling jacket carries its insulation in the hide.
