Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Wipe the leather with a soft damp cloth and buff it dry to keep the shine, then condition it once or twice a year. Spot-clean the cream shearling as soon as it gets marked, and dry everything away from heat. Don't machine wash it.
Size & Fit
A regular fit that sits at the hip. Your usual size leaves room for a turtleneck or a light sweater, and a heavy knit means going up one. The back straps tighten the hem a little if the body feels loose. See the size guide on this page for chest and sleeve measurements. A neat, hip-length women’s shearling lined leather jacket in glossy black, with cream wool at the collar, the cuffs and the hem. The collar has leather straps on both sides, one of them with a pair of square buckles, so you can fasten it up around the neck when the weather turns.
Each front pocket is a big patch pocket with a slanted opening edged in shearling, so your hands go straight into something warm; not every leather shearling jacket bothers with that. A straight zip runs up the front, and buckle straps at the back of the hem take in the waist if you want a closer shape. Wear it with a roll-neck and jeans, as in the photos. It hangs with the rest of our women’s aviator leather jackets.
The leather
The leather has a high shine and a visible grain that catches the light across the shoulders and back. Among shearling leather jackets, a gloss like this is the least forgiving about creases: they build up at the elbows and around the pockets over the first few months, which is what gives it a lived-in look. Conditioning keeps the shine.
