Every men’s hooded leather jacket named here is sheepskin, and the hood detaches rather than being stitched in for good. The B-3 bomber in dark brown sheepskin carries a zip-off hood trimmed in raccoon fur over a wide shearling collar, with a buckled throat latch and adjuster straps at the waist. The black sheepskin aviator goes another way: its hood is shearling-lined and pulls in with drawcords, and it lifts off to leave a tall stand collar that buckles shut at the throat.
Hood on, hood off
The dark brown aviator has a removable hood lined in long ginger shearling, with drawcords to pull it close around your face and buckle adjusters at the hem against wind from below. Take the hood off and a leather tab closes the neck, so it wears as a plain aviator.
Sheepskin and shearling
The B-3 is sheepskin shearling worn grain side out, leather on the face with the wool turned in. The black sheepskin aviator and the brown one are sheepskin outside, with shearling lining the body. In each of these the wool is the insulation, which is why they hold heat without a padded liner. It shows at the cuffs and along the hem, sealing the openings.
What a hood is for
These are hip-length winter jackets, cut to close up at the neck. On the bomber and the brown aviator, buckles at the sides pull the hem in as well. A hood earns its place when the wind is up, since a collar alone leaves your head and neck open. On the black aviator the hood draws in with cords, and the bomber’s zips off entirely.
Fit and sizing
Take your usual size. The B-3 is a regular fit with room through the body, and the brown hooded aviator is cut roomy, so on those a sweater fits underneath without sizing up. How they are made
Every jacket is made after you order it, cut and stitched by hand over five to seven days, with YKK zips wherever there is a zip. Shipping is free worldwide. You have 30 days to send a standard size back, and you cover the return postage unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty. A jacket cut to your measurements is not returnable for fit, so send numbers you are sure of.
