How to measure a jacket you already own
- Chest, flat: zip the jacket, lay it flat, and measure straight across from armpit to armpit.
- Shoulder: measure across the back, from one shoulder seam to the other.
- Sleeve length: measure from the shoulder seam down to the end of the cuff.
- Waist, flat: with the jacket zipped and flat, measure straight across at the narrowest point between the armpit and the hem.
- Back length: measure from the base of the collar down to the hem.

Description
On NCIS season 14, Emily Wickersham wears this jacket as Ellie Bishop over a plain white tee. It is a pared-back women's black biker leather jacket with no belt and no rows of studs. What is left is an asymmetric silver YKK zipper, wide lapels that snap down at the points and a diagonal zipped pocket on the chest.
Plain black, matte finish
The shell is black leather, and in the photo it reads as flat and matte rather than glossy. That keeps the Ellie Bishop black leather jacket quiet next to a white top. The women's black biker leather jacket, detail by detail
All of the metal is silver. The zipper cuts across the chest on a diagonal, ending at a zipped pocket, and a second zipper line runs down the lower front. A snap stud sits at the tip of each lapel, so the lapels can lie flat against the chest. With so little on it, this works more as an everyday jacket than a motorcycle one. Sizing and wear
The cut is close through the shoulders and body, and it finishes at the hip. Take your usual size for a T-shirt or blouse underneath, and go up one for a sweater. If you are between sizes, a free made to measure cut is the better route. Close it over a knit on a cold morning, or open it with the lapels snapped down, the way it is worn on the show.
