Every number below is the jacket itself, measured flat on a table, not your body. The chest and waist figures cover half the jacket, so double them for the measurement all the way around. Each jacket is cut and sewn after you order, to the size on your order.

How to measure a jacket you already own
- Chest, flat: zip the jacket, lay it flat, and measure straight across from armpit to armpit.
- Shoulder: measure across the back, from one shoulder seam to the other.
- Sleeve length: measure from the shoulder seam down to the end of the cuff.
- Waist, flat: with the jacket zipped and flat, measure straight across at the narrowest point between the armpit and the hem.
- Back length: measure from the base of the collar down to the hem.
If nothing on the chart fits, made to measure is free. The eight body measurements we need are on the product page, just above the Add to cart button. A jacket cut to your measurements cannot be returned unless it arrives damaged or faulty, so check each figure first.

- Each jacket is made to order. It takes 5–7 days to make and check, then 6–7 days in transit with DHL, FedEx or SkyNet. Most orders arrive within 11–14 days.
- You'll get tracking details once your order ships.
- Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.
Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth and let it dry away from radiators and sun. Red and tan show water marks more than black, so blot spills quickly. Condition it now and then.
Size & Fit
Close at the waist and through the arms, with a slight flare over the hips. Since it's worn open, the chest has a bit of give. It's a tailored leather jacket, women's cut through the shoulder, so the shoulder seam should land on the point of your shoulder. Take your usual size, or go up one to wear it over a knit. No collar, no lapels and no zip across the front. This women’s collarless leather jacket has a plain round neckline and two front edges that meet in the middle and hang open, so it wears more like a blazer than a biker. Long seams run from the shoulders to the hem, front and back, and take it in at the waist.
The sleeves end in a stitched cuff band with a tab that buttons at the back of the wrist. There are no outside pockets to break the line. Wear it over a fitted dress, a silk top with pants, or a T-shirt and jeans. Choose black, red or tan when you order. It hangs with the plainest of our women’s leather jackets.
The leather
The leather is soft and thin, with a gentle crinkle across the surface and a low sheen. That finish looks relaxed from day one, and new creases blend in rather than stand out. It drapes close to the body, which suits a jacket with no hardware and no collar to hold its shape.
