- Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.
Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry away from heaters and direct sun. Rub in a leather conditioner once or twice a year so it doesn't dry out, and hang it on a wide hanger. Don't machine wash it.
Size & Fit
Slim through the body and sleeves. Take your usual size to wear it over a T-shirt or a blouse and still zip it closed. If you plan to layer a sweater underneath, or you're between sizes, go up one. The size guide lists chest and sleeve measurements, and made to measure is there at no extra cost if you'd rather send your own.
Soft sheepskin keeps the weight down, so this women’s black sheepskin jacket works on mild days for most of the year. It has a short stand collar that sits low on the neck, a center zip with a silver pull, and rows of channel stitching across the tops of the shoulders that carry over onto the back.
Two horizontal zipped pockets sit low on the front, just above a flat hem band, and there’s another pocket inside. Long panel seams run down the front and back and bring the jacket in at the waist, so it follows your shape instead of hanging straight. The cuffs are plain, with no zips or snaps. It’s one of the lighter pieces among our women’s custom leather jackets.
The leather
This is thin sheepskin with a soft, lightly pebbled surface and a low sheen. It weighs less than the cowhide used on heavier custom leather jackets for women, and it needs no breaking in. Because it’s light, it doesn’t drag on your shoulders over a long day, and the grain softens after a season of wear.
