Every number below is the jacket itself, measured flat on a table, not your body. The chest and waist figures cover half the jacket, so double them for the measurement all the way around. Each jacket is cut and sewn after you order, to the size on your order.

How to measure a jacket you already own
- Chest, flat: zip the jacket, lay it flat, and measure straight across from armpit to armpit.
- Shoulder: measure across the back, from one shoulder seam to the other.
- Sleeve length: measure from the shoulder seam down to the end of the cuff.
- Waist, flat: with the jacket zipped and flat, measure straight across at the narrowest point between the armpit and the hem.
- Back length: measure from the base of the collar down to the hem.

Description
A women's black leather and shearling jacket cut like a short pea coat, only looser. The lapels are wide and notched and faced in curly cream pile, and the double-breasted front fastens with four dark buttons. The shoulders drop, the body hangs straight, and the hem ends at the hip.
Two patch pockets sit low on the front. The sleeves have a stitched band across the forearm and finish in deep turned-back cuffs. Inside, the lining continues from the collar, there's an inside pocket, and a small chain loop at the back of the neck lets you hang it on a hook. Shearling runs from the collar down, so it belongs with our women's shearling leather jackets rather than the plain leather ones.
The leather
The black leather has a crinkled texture and a slight gloss, so it looks broken in from the first day rather than stiff and new. Small scuffs disappear into the texture instead of showing as marks. The creases deepen over time at the elbows and around the buttons, and the cream pile at the collar and cuffs makes the black look deeper.
Fit and sizing
Oversized on purpose, with dropped shoulders and wide sleeves, so a chunky knit or a hoodie fits underneath. Your usual size gives the loose shape in the photo, and one size down brings it closer to the body. Care
A damp cloth is enough for the leather day to day; condition it once or twice a year. Light shearling shows dirt, so spot-clean it and brush the pile when it flattens. Hang it on a wide hanger and don't machine wash it.

- Each jacket is made to order. It takes 5–7 days to make and check, then 6–7 days in transit with DHL, FedEx or SkyNet. Most orders arrive within 11–14 days.
- You'll get tracking details once your order ships.
- Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.
Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
