- Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.
Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry away from heaters and direct sun. Condition the leather once or twice a year, and hang it on a wide hanger rather than folding it, so the quilting doesn't crease. Don't machine wash it.
Size & Fit
Close through the chest and shoulders, like most cafe racers. Take your usual size over a T-shirt or a shirt; go up one if you're between sizes or want room for a sweater. You can also send us your own measurements at checkout and we'll cut it to them, free of charge. The size guide on this page has chest and sleeve figures.
A quilted leather jacket men reach for when a plain black one feels too flat. Diamond quilting is stitched over the front panels and the whole back, the side panels and most of each sleeve are left smooth, and there’s ribbed padding across the tops of the shoulders and on the forearms.
Under the quilting it’s a straightforward cafe racer: a low stand collar that snaps shut, a straight zip, zipped hand pockets and zipped cuffs. No lapels, no chest pockets. It’s the quilted one among our men’s cafe racer leather jackets, and it sits at the hip over a T-shirt or a thin knit.
The leather
Sheepskin is lighter and softer than cowhide, so a mens quilted leather jacket in it doesn’t carry the weight you’d expect from all that stitching. The quilted panels are padded, which gives the front and back a bit more body and a little extra warmth than a plain jacket of the same weight.
