Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
White shearling marks easily, so brush the collar and cuffs often and blot any spill straight away with a dry cloth. Wipe the leather down with a damp one. Keep it away from heat and don't machine wash it.
Size & Fit
A boxy cut with a short body, so there's room through the chest and waist but no extra length. For the fit in the photos, order the size you normally take, as you would with the rest of our men's shearling jackets. Go up one if you'll wear chunky knitwear under it. If two sizes both look close, Made to Measure will get it built to your exact figures. Open the size guide for the chest and sleeve numbers.
White wool against black leather gives this men’s black shearling jacket more contrast than most aviators. The collar is wide and pointed, and the same white shearling edges the hem and the turned-back cuffs, framing the jacket top and bottom.
Two leather straps with punched holes hang from under the collar on one side of the zip, for fastening it shut in the wind. Two large patch pockets sit low on the front, each with a slanted opening along the top. For a shearling leather jacket there’s a lot of hardware on it: small buckle tabs at the sides of the hem adjust the waist, and each cuff closes with two buckle straps. Bound seams divide the back into four panels.
The leather
On a leather jacket for men, black hides wear, and here it sets off the white wool at the collar and cuffs. The leather is smooth, with a low shine and a fine grain you can see up close, supple enough to move with you from the start. Lines form at the elbows and along the zip over time.
