Every figure below is the jacket itself, measured flat, not your body. Double the flat chest and flat waist to get the measurement all the way around, or read the doubled figures from the rows marked around. All figures are in inches. Each jacket is cut to the size on your order.

How to measure a jacket you already own

  • Chest, flat: zip the jacket, lay it flat, and measure straight across from one armpit seam to the other.
  • Shoulders: measure across the back, from the top of one shoulder seam to the top of the other.
  • Sleeve Length: measure from the shoulder seam, along the outside of the sleeve, to the end of the cuff.
  • Waist, flat: keep the jacket zipped and flat, and measure straight across at the narrowest point below the chest.
  • Back Length: measure down the back, from the base of the collar to the hem.

If nothing here fits, made to measure is free. The eight measurements sit on the product page, just above the Add to cart button. A jacket cut to your own measurements can't be returned for fit, so check your figures before you order.

Description

This retro men's leather biker jacket is black with cream racing stripes. Two run across the right side of the chest, two more run down the left front to the hem, and there's a pair on each upper arm and another across the shoulder blades. The leather around them is kept plain.

The stand collar closes with a single snap tab, and the zip runs straight up the middle. One zipped pocket sits on the left chest, just above the vertical stripes. Matte panels cover the tops of the shoulders, small tabs sit at each side of the hem, and inside it's lined in viscose, so it slides on easily over a knit. It's the retro corner of our men's biker leather jackets.

The leather

Smooth black leather with a soft, even sheen, which makes the cream stripes look sharper. It gives at the elbows and across the back within a few weeks of wear, and the creases that form there give it a lived-in, older look that suits the retro styling.

Fit and sizing

Cut close through the chest and shoulders, in the old racer style, and meant to be worn zipped over a T-shirt or a light knit. Stick to your usual size. If you're between sizes, go up. If you'd rather have it built to your own chest and sleeve, made to measure is free, and that's how our custom made leather jackets are cut. The size guide here lists the chest and sleeve measurement for each size.

Care

Clean the leather with a soft, damp cloth and dry it away from heaters. The cream stripes show marks first, so clean those as soon as you spot them. Use a colorless conditioner once or twice a year, and hang it on a wide hanger.
