?Around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms, with the tape level.
?Around the narrowest part of your waist, usually just above the belly button.
?Around your waist where your jeans usually sit.
?Around the widest part of your hips and seat.
?Your height without shoes.
?Your weight in pounds.
?Across your back, from the edge of one shoulder to the other.
?From the top of the shoulder down to the wrist bone, with your arm hanging straight.

Every number below is the jacket itself, measured flat on a table, not your body. The chest and waist figures cover half the jacket, so double them for the measurement all the way around. Each jacket is cut and sewn after you order, to the size on your order.

How to measure a jacket you already own

  • Chest, flat: zip the jacket, lay it flat, and measure straight across from armpit to armpit.
  • Shoulder: measure across the back, from one shoulder seam to the other.
  • Sleeve length: measure from the shoulder seam down to the end of the cuff.
  • Waist, flat: with the jacket zipped and flat, measure straight across at the narrowest point between the armpit and the hem.
  • Back length: measure from the base of the collar down to the hem.

If nothing on the chart fits, made to measure is free. The eight body measurements we need are on the product page, just above the Add to cart button. A jacket cut to your measurements cannot be returned unless it arrives damaged or faulty, so check each figure first.

Description

A boxy cropped leather jacket in black, with wide notched lapels folded over an asymmetric front. The lapels snap down, a large flap pocket sits on one side of the chest, and a short belt with a square metal buckle closes at the hem.

The shoulders are dropped, with a snap strap across each one, and the sleeves are full, gathering into snap cuffs. Buckle the belt to pull the waist in, or leave it loose for a straighter shape. It's the boldest cut in our women's leather jackets.

The leather

Smooth black leather with a soft finish and a slight sheen. It creases at the elbows and around the belt as you wear it, and it softens further over the first few months, so the lapels and sleeves hang more loosely with time.

Fit and sizing

Oversized on purpose. Take your usual size for the relaxed look, or go down one for a closer fit. Because it's a cropped leather jacket for women, it works best with high-waisted jeans and pants. If your measurements sit between two sizes, send them at checkout and we'll cut it to them at no extra cost.

Care

Wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry away from heaters and direct sun. Rub in a leather conditioner once or twice a year so it doesn't dry out, and hang it on a wide hanger. Don't machine wash it.

  • Each jacket is made to order. It takes 5–7 days to make and check, then 6–7 days in transit with DHL, FedEx or SkyNet. Most orders arrive within 11–14 days.
  • You'll get tracking details once your order ships.
  • Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.

View shipping policy

Returns

  • Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
  • Refunds go back to your original payment method.
  • The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
  • Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
  • Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
