How to measure a jacket you already own
- Chest, flat: zip the jacket, lay it flat, and measure straight across from one armpit seam to the other.
- Shoulders: measure across the back, from the top of one shoulder seam to the top of the other.
- Sleeve Length: measure from the shoulder seam, along the outside of the sleeve, to the end of the cuff.
- Waist, flat: keep the jacket zipped and flat, and measure straight across at the narrowest point below the chest.
- Back Length: measure down the back, from the base of the collar to the hem.

Description
Curly ginger shearling lines this men's sheepskin flying jacket from collar to hem, and the curls are easy to see even from outside. The collar is large enough to lie open across the chest like a wide lapel, or to stand around the neck with the zipper closed. A small metal ring sits at one corner of it.
Piping, patch pockets and the off-center zipper
Dark piping runs along the shoulder seams and across the chest, and on the back it forms a cross. Two large patch pockets with curved edges sit low on the front, one on each side of the YKK zipper, which runs off center. The same curly wool shows again at the cuffs and all around the hem. The full cut and big collar come straight from the flying-jacket pattern, which is why it is filed with men's aviator leather jackets.
The brown sheepskin outside
The shell is brown sheepskin with a pebbled grain and a low sheen. The wool inside is curly rather than flat, so the collar looks shaggy and thick. Open the front and the lining fills the whole inside. This shearling flying jacket will crease at the elbows and near the pockets as you wear it, and the wool collar can be fluffed back up with your fingers. Fit of the men's sheepskin flying jacket
Cut full through the chest and sleeves, with room for a sweater. Take your usual size. If you only wear a shirt underneath and like a closer fit, one size down may suit you better. When your chest and sleeve numbers do not match the chart, a free made to measure order uses the measurements you send. Worn open, it reads as a men's shearling jacket with a big lapel.

Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.

- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
