How to measure a jacket you already own
- Chest, flat: zip the jacket, lay it flat, and measure straight across from one armpit seam to the other.
- Shoulders: measure across the back, from the top of one shoulder seam to the top of the other.
- Sleeve Length: measure from the shoulder seam, along the outside of the sleeve, to the end of the cuff.
- Waist, flat: keep the jacket zipped and flat, and measure straight across at the narrowest point below the chest.
- Back Length: measure down the back, from the base of the collar to the hem.

Description
Our Brad Pitt jacket is an RAF-style flight jacket in glossy brown sheepskin, with the curly fleece left on the inside. There's no separate lining. In a men's brown shearling jacket the wool is the lining, and here it shows at the wide collar and at the cuffs and hem, turned out.
The collar turns up and straps shut at the throat. The zip runs slightly off center, the two slanted hand pockets are edged in darker leather, and dark brown taping covers the main seams. Buckle straps at the sides of the hem let you close the waist when the wind picks up. Of our men's shearling jackets, this is the one cut short in the body, the way the wartime originals were.
The sheepskin
The leather has a pebbled grain and a warm glow on the surface, with the fleece left thick and curly on the reverse. A shearling leather jacket keeps you warm without any quilting, and it lets heat out as you move, so you don't overheat once you're indoors. It darkens and softens with wear, most of all at the elbows and collar.
Fit and sizing
Short and full in the body, with room for a sweater under the fleece. Stick with your usual size, and use the hem straps to pull the waist in if you want a closer shape. The size guide on this page gives chest and sleeve measurements. If the body should be longer or the sleeves shorter, Made to Measure won't cost you extra: tailored leather jackets, cut from the numbers you send.
Care
Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth, and brush the fleece at the collar and cuffs if it clumps. Hang it somewhere airy after wearing and keep it away from radiators. It shouldn't go in a washing machine.

- You'll get tracking details once your order ships.
- Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.
Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
