How to measure a jacket you already own
- Chest, flat: zip the jacket, lay it flat, and measure straight across from one armpit seam to the other.
- Shoulders: measure across the back, from the top of one shoulder seam to the top of the other.
- Sleeve Length: measure from the shoulder seam, along the outside of the sleeve, to the end of the cuff.
- Waist, flat: keep the jacket zipped and flat, and measure straight across at the narrowest point below the chest.
- Back Length: measure down the back, from the base of the collar to the hem.

- Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.
Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Brush the shearling with a soft brush when it flattens, and wipe the leather and straps with a damp cloth. Keep the jacket well away from heaters. If it needs more than a wipe, take it to a leather specialist.
Size & Fit
B3s run roomy, and this one leaves space for a thick sweater underneath. Select the men's or women's version at checkout, along with your regular size. For a closer fit, drop one size after checking the chest measurement in the size guide. We also do custom-made leather jackets for nothing extra, so pick Made to Measure and send your chest, waist and sleeve figures.
Straps are what set this shearling leather jacket apart. Two tan ones hang from the collar so you can close it against the wind, two more buckle around each forearm, and a tan belt runs around the hem and fastens at the front. Underneath is a men’s B3 shearling jacket in dark brown sheepskin, with honey-colored wool on the inside.
The collar is wide, and the wool carries on down both front edges, around the cuffs and along the hem, so a band of honey shearling shows wherever the leather stops. An off-center zip closes the front, with two zipped pockets below the chest. Expect it to weigh more than a men’s shearling jacket without all the straps; it’s built for real cold, not a mild autumn.
The sheepskin
The outside is sheepskin with a pebbly natural grain and a slight shine, dyed a deep brown. As with the other shearling jackets for men here, the wool stays on the inside of the same skin, which is why a B3 is so warm without any padding. The leather creases at the elbows and around the straps, and gets softer as it does.
