Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Wipe the red leather gently with a damp cloth and let it dry at room temperature, out of direct sun, which fades the red. Condition it once or twice a year and store it on a wide hanger. Machine washing will ruin it.
Size & Fit
A regular fit through the body, with the waistband sitting at the hip. Your usual size leaves room for a T-shirt underneath, and one size up gives the looser 1980s shape. Michael Jackson’s red jacket from Thriller, made here as a men’s red leather jacket in sheepskin with black leather stripes. Two stripes angle in from the shoulders to form a V on the front, a matching V meets at the center of the back, and a stripe runs down the outside of each sleeve. The collar and the tops of the shoulders are channel stitched.
Red buttons close the front on a center placket, and there are two slanted hand pockets. Black tabs sit on the waistband, a black strap crosses it at the back, and each cuff closes with a buckled strap. People buy it for Halloween and costume parties, and because the sheepskin is real, it wears like the rest of our leather jackets for men.
The leather
Sheepskin is lighter than most of what goes into a leather jacket for men, so it’s easy to move and dance in. The red is strong and even, and the black stripes are separate pieces of leather stitched on rather than painted, so they won’t crack or rub off. It softens and creases gently as you wear it.
