- Each jacket is made to order. It takes 5–7 days to make and check, then 6–7 days in transit with DHL, FedEx or SkyNet. Most orders arrive within 11–14 days.

- Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.
Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Wipe the leather down with a damp cloth when it's dusty, and dry it at room temperature. Condition it every six months or so. Store it on a shaped hanger with the inner collar zipped, and never put it in the washing machine.
Size & Fit
Straight through the chest and waist, with room for a shirt and a light sweater underneath. Take your usual size, and go one up if you run cold and want a thick knit under it. The size guide on this page lists chest and sleeve measurements, so compare them with a jacket that already fits you well. Two collars, one inside the other, on an otherwise plain men’s black leather jacket. The outer one is a leather stand collar. Inside it sits a second collar with its own zip, which you can close up to the chin on a cold morning and leave open the rest of the time.
The rest of it stays simple. A yoke seam runs across the chest and the back, with vertical seams dropping down from it, and the two hand pockets are zipped and set upright at the sides. The hem and cuffs are plain. It’s the quietest of our leather jackets for men, and it goes over a collared shirt as easily as over a crew-neck knit.
The leather
Black is where most people start with a leather jacket for men, and this one is smooth, with a soft, slightly glossy surface. It’s supple enough to wear straight away and gets softer with each month of use. Creases form first at the elbows, and the leather picks up a gentle shine where it rubs, around the pockets and along the zip.
