- Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.
Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Wipe marks off with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let the jacket dry away from heat. Brush the collar gently to lift the shearling. Condition the leather once a year and keep it on a wide hanger. Don't machine wash it.
Size & Fit
A regular fit. Over a shirt and a crew-neck sweater, as in the photos, your usual size is right. If you're between sizes, go up, because the lining makes this snugger than an unlined leather jacket for men. The zip on this men’s shearling jacket runs off-center, from the hem up to one side of the collar. Open the top and the front folds back into a wide lapel of cream shearling. Close it all the way and the collar stands up around your neck, held by a buckled strap. The leather is dark brown with a soft matte finish.
It’s a shearling leather jacket built the quiet way, with all the wool on the inside, so from a few steps back it reads as a plain brown aviator. Panel seams cross the sleeves above the elbows, the cuffs zip open and two slit pockets sit at the hips. At the back, a buckle strap on each side of the hem takes in the waist. For wool on the outside, there’s a B-3 in our men’s shearling jackets.
The leather
Soft leather with a dry, matte surface instead of a shine, which suits the rougher look of an aviator. Matte leather picks up a slight polish at the pocket edges and cuffs over time. The weight is what you would expect from a leather and shearling jacket: heavy on the hanger, fine once it’s on.
