How to measure a jacket you already own
- Chest, flat: zip the jacket, lay it flat, and measure straight across from one armpit seam to the other.
- Shoulders: measure across the back, from the top of one shoulder seam to the top of the other.
- Sleeve Length: measure from the shoulder seam, along the outside of the sleeve, to the end of the cuff.
- Waist, flat: keep the jacket zipped and flat, and measure straight across at the narrowest point below the chest.
- Back Length: measure down the back, from the base of the collar to the hem.

Description
A men's light brown leather biker jacket cut along cafe racer lines: a straight zip, a low stand collar and no lapels to flap about. The collar closes with a tab and two brass snaps, and the tops of the shoulders are padded and ribbed.
One zip pocket runs at a slant across the left chest, with two more zipped pockets at the hands. The hem band has a buckled tab at each side, and the cuffs zip open, so they're easy to push up or pull over a glove. The tan shade sits well with navy, gray, olive and white, and with blue or black jeans. It hangs with the rest of our men's biker leather jackets, and it's the one to pick if you already own a black one.
The leather
Cowhide is thicker and heavier than lambskin, which is why it turns up on so many biker leather jackets for men. It feels firm for the first few weeks, then softens at the elbows, shoulders and waist. On a light brown like this, creases and small marks show up as darker lines over time and give it a worn-in look.
Fit and sizing
Slim through the body and sleeves, as a racer-style biker should be. Take your usual size if you'll wear it over a T-shirt or a shirt. If a hoodie is going underneath, go up one. The size guide on this page has chest and sleeve measurements. If your chest and sleeve land on two different sizes, send us your own numbers and we'll cut it to measure at no extra cost.
Care
Wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry away from heaters. Light brown can pick up dye from dark denim and bag straps, so check the hem and cuffs. Condition it once or twice a year, and never machine wash it.

- Each jacket is made to order. It takes 5–7 days to make and check, then 6–7 days in transit with DHL, FedEx or SkyNet. Most orders arrive within 11–14 days.
- You'll get tracking details once your order ships.
- Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.
Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
