How to measure a jacket you already own
- Chest, flat: zip the jacket, lay it flat, and measure straight across from one armpit seam to the other.
- Shoulders: measure across the back, from the top of one shoulder seam to the top of the other.
- Sleeve Length: measure from the shoulder seam, along the outside of the sleeve, to the end of the cuff.
- Waist, flat: keep the jacket zipped and flat, and measure straight across at the narrowest point below the chest.
- Back Length: measure down the back, from the base of the collar to the hem.

- Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.
Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Small scuffs aren't a worry, since the finish hides them. Wipe it with a barely damp cloth, dry it away from heaters, and condition it a couple of times a year. Keep it on a wide hanger and out of the washing machine.
Size & Fit
Close through the chest and shoulders, with narrow sleeves, the way a cafe racer is meant to fit. Wear it over a T-shirt or a thin shirt in your usual size, and take the larger one if you're between sizes or like a layer underneath. Red-brown leather with dark shading worked into it along the seams, across the chest and around the lower back. This men’s distressed brown leather jacket looks like it has already done a few years on the road, even on its first day out, and that’s where the retro cafe racer character comes from.
The shape is plain, with nothing added. A short collar closes with one snap, the zip runs straight up the middle, and there are four zipped pockets: two across the chest and two at the hips. The cuffs zip open, so you can push the sleeves up or pull them over gloves. It’s a straightforward leather jacket for men, with no belts or buckles to deal with.
The finish
The base color is a warm reddish brown, close to oxblood in some light, and it’s shaded almost black at the edges and across the chest. That shading swallows the scrapes a jacket picks up in normal use, so this one ages in your favor. It’s the most forgiving finish on any of our leather jackets for men.
