Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Clean it with a slightly damp cloth, taking care over the lighter trim, which shows marks sooner. Comb out the collar and cuffs if the wool flattens. Let it dry naturally and don't put it in a washing machine.
Size & Fit
A regular fit through the chest and body, with the belt there to pull the waist in. Order the men's or women's cut, then the size you usually buy. It takes a shirt or a light knit; for a heavy sweater, go up a size. When no standard size fits well, Made to Measure lets you order to your own measurements. The size guide lists chest and sleeve figures.
Orange-tan leather trim runs along nearly every seam of this brown leather and shearling jacket for men. It follows the shoulders, frames the zip and the slanted pocket openings, and draws a grid of panels across the back.
The collar is cream shearling with a tan strap to close it, and the same cream wool trims the cuffs and the hem. A tan belt with a metal buckle circles the waist, and each cuff has its own buckle strap. The zip runs down the center, with a zipped hand pocket angled on either side. None of the men’s shearling jackets in brown carry this much contrast trim.
The leather
The dark brown leather has a matte, slightly rough surface, which makes the orange-tan trim stand out more. As shearling leather jackets go, the wool here is kept to the collar, cuffs and hem, so the body stays lighter. The trim itself is smooth leather, and it picks up a patina over time, while the darker leather hides scuffs well.
