- Each jacket is made to order. It takes 5–7 days to make and check, then 6–7 days in transit with DHL, FedEx or SkyNet. Most orders arrive within 11–14 days.

- Import duties or local taxes, where a country charges them, are paid by the customer.
Returns
- Returns, exchanges and refund requests within 30 days of delivery. Email info@theleathermaker.com with your order number to start one.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method.
- The jacket must be unworn, with the original tags attached and in its original packaging.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the jacket arrived damaged or faulty.
- Made-to-measure and personalized jackets can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
Care Details
Wipe the leather with a damp cloth and let the jacket dry at room temperature, never on a radiator. Brush the shearling if it flattens, and leave a proper clean to a sheepskin specialist. Don't machine wash it.
Size & Fit
The wool takes up room inside, so this sits closer than a plain leather jacket for men in the same size. Take your usual size over a shirt or a thin knit, and go up one for a thick sweater underneath. The size guide on this page lists chest and sleeve measurements. If you're between sizes, you can have it made to measure and we'll cut it to your own numbers.
This men’s shearling jacket is built for real winter. The outside is black sheepskin leather and the inside is thick cream shearling, which turns out at the cuffs and runs along the hem. The collar stands tall and closes with two leather buckle straps across the throat, so you can shut it right up to the jaw.
Most leather and shearling jackets stop at the collar. This one carries the wool up into a hood, with drawcords that pull it in around your face. The hood comes off, so on milder days you wear the jacket as a plain aviator. Behind that it’s simple: a brass-tone zip, two vertical hand pockets and a leather patch pocket inside. The sheepskin
Sheepskin on the outside, wool shearling on the inside. The wool traps warm air but still breathes, so you don’t get as clammy on a heated train as you would in a coat with synthetic padding. A shearling leather jacket this thick feels heavy and stiff at first, then softens and creases at the elbows within a few weeks.
